I did. I really did. Every time she talked I clung to every syllable, and breathed in every word. The sound of her voice was a warm flame that licked my ears and warmed my brain. She had passion. It was evident. In every conversation it seeped from her. Her emotions were always surfacing intensely and my favorite past time was to listen, and drown in them. 

"Of course I do."

I never said more than a few words, I didn't want to waste any time I had with her. Nothing I could have said would ever be as captivating. I never understood what was so important, what she thought could be so interesting about what I had to say. But I cherished it. I never took for granted the blessing of getting to be in her presence and hear her speak about anything at all. 

She's always talking. And I'm forever listening. I wouldn't have it any other way.
